Banner Health in Casa Grande, AZ, is seeking an Acute Medication History Pharmacy Technician. The role focuses on obtaining a complete medication history by interviewing patients, families, and other sources, and documenting it into the medical record.

The part-time position runs 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires AZ pharmacy licensure/certification or intern licensure, plus strong communication and math skills for accurate histories.

Qualifications

Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
AZ Wallet Card at time of hire for pharmacists in Arizona.
Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience.
Knowledge of brand/generic names, OTC products, and herbal/dietary supplements.

Responsibilities

Obtain and document patient medication histories under pharmacist supervision.
Interview patients and families to collect comprehensive medication data.
Document history and allergies in the electronic health record.
Maintain infection control and patient safety procedures during interviews.
Assist with duties of Acute Pharmacy Technician as needed, including dispensing support and restocking.
