As an Acute Medication History Pharmacy Technician, this role obtains and documents accurate medication histories by interviewing patients, families, and other sources. Responsibilities include collecting complete information on prescription medications, over-the-counter products, vitamins, supplements, and herbal remedies to support safe and effective patient care.

The schedule for this position is four-10 hour shifts including Saturday and Sunday and every other weekend. Hire On Incentive up to $2,500 available. Recruiter to provide these details during the interview process. Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.

This position, under the supervision of a pharmacist, is responsible for obtaining a patient’s complete medication history through communication with the patient, family, and/or other resources and documenting it into the medical record. Medication History technicians (MHTs) perform an important function in collecting an accurate and complete medication history from every patient they encounter. A complete medication history will include prescription medications, over-the-counter (OTC) products, herbal supplements, vitamins/minerals, and other similar products.
