Job summary

MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN, part-time shifts in our 20-bed acute care facility. You will provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, coordinating with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, care planning, implementing orders, and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required if telemetry monitoring is used.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Strong language, math, and critical thinking abilities.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct safe, effective, culturally competent patient care for acute medical/surgical conditions.
• Assess patients on admission and participate in care planning.
• Implement orders, coordinate with the care team, and discharge planning.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and families; document care thoroughly.
• Ensure safety, telemetry monitoring when needed, and continuous quality improvement.
