Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Ardmore, PA seeks a professional registered nurse for the Inpatient RN CAP 2 track as part of the Clinical Advancement Program. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with potential delegation to other staff and collaboration with the health care team.

CAP 2 is an entry-level designation for new employees meeting CAP 2 criteria or advanced from CAP 1.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years or more of nephrology nursing experience in the last 2 years as an RN
• Acute dialysis experience preferred
• Current state RN licensure and CPR BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with appropriate documentation
• Delegate suitable tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians under supervision
• Participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities
• Coordinate communication with dialysis providers and facility personnel to ensure continuity of care
• Respond to emergencies and administer medications as prescribed
• Serve as a resource and mentor to new staff and to the facility team
