Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an inpatient RN CAP 2 to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group in Ohio. You will perform assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with delegation to RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians as needed.

The role participates in decision-making, teaching and quality improvement, with opportunities to serve as a Preceptor and to advance through CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN CAP 2 with potential advancement from CAP 1.
• 2+ years of nephrology nursing experience in the last 2 years.
• Acute dialysis experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision and with educator/preceptor guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data around treatment, documents in the medical record, and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Provides patient/family education and coordinates communication with health team and contracted facilities.
• Administers medications and manages intradialytic transfusions per protocol and notifies physicians as needed.

Education

Current appropriate state licensure

CPR BLS Certification

Must meet the practice requirements in all states employed
