Job summary

TriHealth Good Sam Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Tech for the float pool on a PRN basis. You will assist with activities of daily living and designated treatments under RN supervision, while supporting unit operations and clerical tasks.

The role requires a High School education, BLS certification, and ability to read and perform basic math. Night shifts with incentives are offered; duties include maintaining safety and collaborating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of high school education or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position.
• Age 17 with work permit.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Maintains competency in tasks trained for by the PCA and completes assigned tasks within timeframes.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports hazards; adheres to infection control policies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and team members; documents observations.
• Performs supply, equipment and environmental-related activities and ensures materials are available.
