Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital - Acute Care Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist. The role requires evaluating patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders, developing treatment plans, and coordinating discharge planning.

Experience in acute care is preferred; ASHA CCC-SLP and state licensure are required. Some weekend coverage and orientation participation are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited school
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice
• Minimum of one year experience in acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and conduct speech and language evaluations
• Develop and implement written plans of care with measurable goals
• Discharge planning including home programs and patient/family teaching
• Document per policy; track statistics, billing, and scheduling
• Maintain patient safety and infection control measures
