Job summary

Advocate Health in the Chicago area seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for primarily weekend PRN coverage between Advocate South Suburban and Advocate Trinity in the South Chicago area.

You will evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders, develop plans of care, document progress, and collaborate with physicians and the care team. Flexibility for occasional weekday PRN is available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• CCC-SLP certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement written plans of care; monitor outcomes and adjust plans as needed.
• Discharge planning, home programs, and family instruction; coordinate with care team.
• Complete documentation per policy; manage billing, scheduling and productivity standards.
• Promote safety, assist with equipment and infection control; support education of students.
