Job summary

Advocate Health Lincoln Acute Care Therapy team is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support adult patients in a hospital setting. You will evaluate and treat patients, collaborating with physicians, nurses, PTs, OTs, and care management to restore function and independence during hospitalization.

The position is part-time with monthly weekend coverage and some weekday coverage to cover increased census and vacation coverage; requires Master's in SLP, state licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and applicable state license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with adult populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs, and administers programs of Speech Language Pathology upon physician referral.
• Plans and conducts SLP to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach independence.
• Directs and supervises rehab technicians, students, and volunteers in patient care.
• Communicates evaluation results and coordinates schedules, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
