Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• State professional license to practice speech-language pathology.
• BLS certification; CCC-SLP is frequently required or preferred.
• Experience: minimum of one year in adult acute care or direct patient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing functions.
• Create and update custom care plans that help patients swallow safely and communicate clearly.
• Educate patients and families on home strategies, safety rules, and therapy goals.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other therapists to ensure coordinated patient care.
