The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, ASHA CCC and state licensure, BLS, and experience in acute care is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA and state licensure required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required or within 90 days of start.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Conducts speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing evaluations.
• Develops written plans of care and implements treatment.
• Discharges patients with home programs and caregiver education.
• Performs documentation per policy and accreditation standards; maintains patient records.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and safety initiatives.
• May supervise non-licensed personnel and orient new staff.
• Contributes to continuing education and cross-training opportunities.
