Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health is seeking an Acute Care RN to provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with physicians and families, and ensure timely admission assessments and discharge planning.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and adherence to mission and core values, with telemetries and various patient populations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Current Iowa RN license (IL license if working in IL) and BLS required.
• ACLS required only if unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial assessment within 30 minutes of admission and completes the admission database within 24 hours.
• Develops and updates an outcome/goal-based plan of care and coordinates referrals with the care team.
• Implements the plan of care, delegates tasks, and reassesses patient response at regular intervals.
• Communicates clinical information to physicians and team members to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.
