Job summary

UHS is seeking a Registered Nurse in Texas responsible for managing patients with medical conditions or surgical procedures, providing safe nursing care, and leading the healthcare team. The role includes supervising nursing staff and coordinating with hospital departments to resolve issues.

Requirements include TX RN license (or compact), BSN preferred, and BLS; ACLS as needed. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Two years full-time RN or three years part-time RN experience in acute care.
• Availability to work one full weekend per month.
• Availability to work one full holiday recognized by STHS.
• Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• RN license in Texas or compact state; BSN preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor/Diploma in Nursing.
• Handle with Care within six months of employment.
• Maintain BLS and current certifications per unit needs (AHA).
• ACLS if required in unit; timelines apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care per policies and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversee nursing staff under your supervision.
• Interact with hospital staff and ancillary departments regarding care and conflicts.
• May work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
