Job summary

Guthrie in Sayre, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional, comprehensive care in an acute care setting. You will deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing to patients and families, following state practice acts, ANA code, and unit standards.

A BSN is preferred; current RN license in the state is required; BLS is mandatory; ACLS/PALS may be required per unit. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in the state of employment.
• BSN preferred; educational requirements per unit.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• ACLS is unit dependent; PALS may be required per unit.
• NLRN program graduates may transition into position as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; coordinate care plan.
• Monitor and communicate patient status; ensure safety and quality of care.
• Advocate for patients; support autonomy, dignity and preferences.
• Educate patients and families; promote learning within the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and ancillary staff to optimize outcomes.
• Perform duties within the Nurse Practice Act and unit standards.
