Job summary

Guthrie seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional, comprehensive care in an acute care environment. The RN is accountable for safe, compassionate, evidence-based care for patients and families across the lifespan, aligned with state Nurse Practice Acts and ANA standards.

Essential responsibilities include developing and updating the plan of care, advocating for patients, and collaborating with an inter-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse license in the state of practice.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.
• Experience: at least one year preferred, with transition from NLRN program acceptable where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Develop and update the plan of care to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes.
• Advocate for patient autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs.
• Foster learning for patients, families, nursing staff and the healthcare team.
• Align practice with safety and quality, use evidence to improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership, coordinate care, and collaborate with inter-professional teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
