Job summary

Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Float/Flex Team. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care across units, performing skilled procedures and implementing individualized care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include 1 year ICU/ER experience within the last 3 years, CA RN licensure at hire, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. BSN is preferred for this role at Mercy Mt Shasta.

Qualifications

• 1 year ICU or ER experience within the last 3 years.
• Registered Nurse in CA at hire.
• BLS/CPR certification on hire.
• ACLS certification on hire.
• Preferred BSN and 1–3 years acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and adjusts nursing care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes to the team.
• Performs technical nursing procedures with appropriate supervision.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans as patient conditions evolve.
• Assesses educational needs and delivers patient education.
• Administers and manages narcotics and medications per hospital policy.
