Community Health Systems, Inc. in Kirksville, Missouri seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to administer pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory care under physician orders.

You will assess patients, monitor responses, and implement treatment plans to promote respiratory health, rehabilitation, and prevention. You will document thoroughly and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation if NICU department
• STABLE - Neonatal Certification if NICU department

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors patient responses.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Performs and documents ABG punctures accurately.
• Maintains respiratory equipment and ensures safety standards.
• Records all treatments and patient responses in the EMR with clear, legible notes.
• Ensures proper PPE use and infection control across procedures.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
• Demonstrates quick judgment in emergencies and collaborates with care teams.
