Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree (AAS) in respiratory care required.
• Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field preferred.

Aufgaben

• Contributes to the achievement of department goals and adheres to policies, procedures, quality and safety standards.
• Assesses patient physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cultural dimensions and educational needs; documents accordingly.
• Performs respiratory therapy treatments and services: oxygen, gas, humidity, monitoring, ventilators (invasive and non-invasive), bronchial hygiene, lung expansion, spirometry, EKG, blood gas analysis.
• Uses therapeutic communication, interviewing, problem solving and crisis intervention in patient care.
• Reviews electronic medical records and physician orders during shifts.
• Responds to CPR, maintains airway, provides oxygen and ventilation; performs chest compressions.
• Facilitates workflow efficiency and interdepartmental coordination; suggests process improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
