Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging exams with ARRT-certified proficiency. You will work with radiologists and care teams, maintain safety, and teach students.

The position is full-time, on-site, 36 hours per week, with shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends. Ideal candidates have ARRT certification, state license, and BLS, plus acute care imaging experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state license required.
• BLS certification required.
• May complete MA competency checklist and function as MA if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency across clinical and technical functions.
• Verify patient identity, verify orders, and prepare patient for exam.
• Perform exams per protocol and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies in a timely manner while ensuring patient care and quality.
• Instruct students and fellow radiology techs on protocols, positioning, and equipment.
• Provide patient education and address comfort and concerns.
• Maintain infection control and sterile technique.
• Operate equipment and related information systems for quality imaging.
• Record patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions.
