Job summary

VIRTUA in Magnolia, NJ is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an acute care float position across divisions, with a Sunday–Thursday 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule. You will assist the supervising physical therapist by carrying out the care plan and tracking patient progress as directed.

Responsibilities include maintaining timely patient records, supporting clinical operations, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with New Jersey licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Physical Therapy Assistant Associate degree from a program accredited by the APTA.
• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical and other team members to provide optimum patient care and effective operations.
• Provides physical therapy interventions per the plan of care and provides feedback to the supervising therapist.
• Maintains and completes patient records and documentation in a timely manner per guidelines.
• Effectively utilizes aides and other support staff as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families in line with age, condition and cultural needs.
