Job summary

Virtua seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant for an acute care float position covering multiple divisions as needed. The role supports the physical therapist, documents progress, and assists in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the incumbent works under supervision with an emphasis on effective operations and patient education tailored to each individual's needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Physical Therapy Assistant Associate degree from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical and team professionals to provide optimum patient care and operations.
• Provides PT interventions in line with the plan of care and gives feedback to the PT on patient status.
• Maintains and completes patient records, reports and all documentation per guidelines.
• Uses aides and support staff effectively.
• Educates patient and family per age, condition and cultural needs.
