Job summary

Virtua in New Jersey is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an acute care float role, covering all divisions as needed. You will work under the supervision of a physical therapist, performing planned rehabilitative treatments and tracking patient progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum an Associate degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Consult with medical staff to provide quality patient care and efficient operations.
• Deliver PT interventions per the plan of care and provide feedback to the supervising PT.
• Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with guidelines.
• Coordinate with aides and support staff to maximize throughput.
• Educate patients and families, adapting to age, condition and cultural needs.
