Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (IDFPR) in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with assistance as needed, using safe body mechanics.
• Demonstrates respect and empathy toward patients and colleagues.
• Keeps an appropriate plan of care, adjusting as needed based on response and evidence.
• Educates patients, families, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examination using reliable methods relevant to the chief complaint.
• Documents in the EMR per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.
• Supervises support personnel and provides feedback.

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
