Qualifications

• H.S Diploma/ GED Required.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform selected therapeutic interventions under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with assessments; perform phlebotomy per unit requirements.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes; orient patients to room, call bell, and routine.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control; adhere to Joint Commission and department procedures.
• Collaborate with patients, families and care team; communicate changes in patient status promptly.
