Job summary

Penn Medicine Doylestown Health ICU is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the intensive care unit. You will perform selected therapeutic interventions under the direction of the RN and collaborate with the health care team.

Full-time night shift (7pm–7am) with opportunities to contribute to patient safety, documentation, and care coordination. Requires HS Diploma/GED and BLS certification; hospital experience and phlebotomy/ECG skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/ GED required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform selected therapeutic interventions under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team members to achieve excellence in patient care.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes and ensure patient room is stocked and prepared.
• Maintain safety precautions and follow infection control practices and Joint Commission guidelines.
• Demonstrate initiative, accountability and effective communication during shift handoffs and in response to emergent needs.
