Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Lab at Doylestown Health is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to collect, access and process specimens in accordance with policy under supervision. You will identify patients, perform venipuncture and ensure proper labeling and sample handling.

Responsibilities include accessioning samples, maintaining quality customer service, cross-training within the lab, and supporting patient safety through adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• H.S Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens according to the Specimen Collection Manual and Reference Laboratory Manuals.
• Accession all samples delivered to the Laboratory and ensure correct labeling and sample handling.
• Provides quality customer service with professionalism, courtesy and timeliness.
• Cross trains in other non-phlebotomy duties and supports Outreach Facilities as needed.
• Promotes patient safety by following organizational policies and procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
