Job summary

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II to support filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and ancillary departments with prompt accuracy. Responsibilities include IV and oral medication dispensing, triaging orders, and maintaining ADS integrity within a fast-paced hospital pharmacy setting.

The role requires California Pharmacy Technician License, California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days, and PTCB certification or

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED.
Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License.
California Fire and Life Safety Card – National Organization within 30 days of hire.
Minimum of one year (>2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification – or 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy in not PTCB certified.

Responsibilities

Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
Distribute unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner.
