Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA, is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Admin to join our unit-dose dispensing team. Responsibilities include dispensing medications to nursing units and other departments, and ensuring ADS accuracy.

The ideal candidate holds a California Pharmacy Technician License, HS diploma, and PTCB certification, with 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience or 2 years in a non-PTCB environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• California Pharmacy Technician License required upon hire.
• Minimum of one year (2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with current PTCB certification, or 2 years (4160 hours) hospital pharmacy without PTCB.

Responsibilities

• Fill/dispense unit-dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments.
• Fill/dispense oral and IV medications and triage patient orders.
• Maintain the accuracy of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
