Job summary

Memorial Hermann Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and support nursing staff in a fast-paced acute care unit.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of patient care experience or equivalent, and a Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of employment; CNA/EMT experience is considered a plus. This onsite role offers opportunities for growth within Memorial Hermann.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior patient care experience or similar role required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with vital signs, hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Documents information accurately and reports changes to the nurse.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and participates in safety programs.
• Prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed within scope of role.
• Mentors new employees as appropriate.
• Supports department goals and patient-centered care.
