Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will support vital signs, hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities while maintaining accurate documentation and safety standards.

The role requires about one year of prior patient care experience, preferably in acute care, and BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience (e.g. CNA, EMT, or PCT) or similar role required, preferably in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association within 90 days of employment or the ability to obtain it during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs activities of daily living and helps with hygiene, nutrition, mobility and comfort.
• Documents accurately and timely, reports unusual findings to the nurse.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment and follows safety policies.
• Assists in obtaining and preparing laboratory specimens as prescribed.
• Supports orientation of new employees and contributes to department goals.
