Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) II to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring accurate charting while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of patient care experience, familiarity with core PCT competencies, and BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience (e.g. CNA or EMT) or similar role required, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Proficiency in Core Competencies of the PCT I and II position as noted by Memorial Hermann Clinical Education.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Monitors vital signs, assists with activities of daily living, and documents care accurately.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and adheres to Memorial Hermann policies.
• Assists in specimen collection and supports orientation of new staff as appropriate.
