Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant in Acute Care to join our inpatient rehab therapy team. You will work under supervision to evaluate patients and implement treatment plans aimed at maximizing function and independence.

Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, promoting service improvements, and ensuring alignment with hospital goals. AHA CPR and state licensure are required, with an associate degree in OTA and clinical internship

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience preferred
• Knowledge of Acute Care required
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program
• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required

Responsibilities

• Works under supervision of the Team Coordinator or Clinical Specialist and Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager.
• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess patients' occupational limitations and medical condition.
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program designed to return patients to their maximum function.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes.
• Promotes improvements in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
• Aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
