Job summary

Johns Hopkins Health System in Maryland seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant specializing in Acute Care to join a dynamic Rehab Therapy team. You will evaluate patients, design and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to restore function and independence.

The role requires an Associate degree and CPR certification, with preferred 1 year of OTA experience; licensure as an OTA or OT and internship exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited OTA program.
• 1 year of OTA experience preferred
• Knowledge of Acute Care required
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program
• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required

Responsibilities

• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
• Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
• Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
• Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization
