Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Medicine Occupational Therapist Assistant specializing in Acute Care will work under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and Clinical Specialist, with leadership from the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager.

You will assess patients with objective evaluation techniques, prescribe and implement treatment plans to maximize function, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary health care team to improve patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited OTA program.
• 1 year of OTA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Acute Care required.
• Clinical internships completed as required by the program.
• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' occupational limitations using objective evaluation techniques.
• Prescribe and implement treatment to maximize function.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care team to improve patient care.
• Promote improvements in service and hospital systems.
• Supervision by Team Coordinator/Clinical Specialist and Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager.
