Job summary

Bozeman Health seeks a qualified Acute Care MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams in a fast-paced, acute care environment. You will operate the MRI scanner, adjust scanning parameters, and produce high-quality images for radiologists and clinicians.

The role includes NICU, CCU, ED imaging and active participation in quality indicators. The candidate must hold CAHEA-accredited radiology education, ARRT, MRI certification, BLS, and 2 years of MRI experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent
• ARRT certification
• MRI Technologist certification
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Two (2) years of MRI experience in a hospital setting
• Competencies to perform emergency/trauma MRI procedures including anesthesia and other MRI exams for all populations (neonates, pediatrics, adults)

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments as requested by medical staff.
• Assists Radiologists and other staff during exams and procedures.
• Performs ancillary duties to maintain distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
• Completes documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Retrieves and files exam jackets, orders, and health information for timely performance and reporting.
• Participates in implementing and improving hospital quality indicators.
• Works independently in a high-complexity acute care inpatient setting.
• Supports and trains peers.
• Other related duties as assigned.
