Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking an Acute Care Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Trainee to assist in diagnosis and treatment by learning MRI procedures that produce high-quality images for radiologists and medical professionals.

You will gain hands-on experience operating the MRI scanner, adjusting parameters, and ensuring safety while supporting NICU, CCU, ED and other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• ARRT certification.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Willingness to learn and perform emergency/trauma MRI procedures for diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of MRI safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform MRI exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED and other departments as requested by medical staff.
• Perform ancillary duties to maintain distribution, billing, and archival of exams.
• Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Retrieve and file exam jackets, orders, and health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of MRI exams.
• Participate in implementing, monitoring, and improving hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
• Trainee to sign work commitment prior to MRI opportunity and will become ARRT Certified after completion.
• Bi-monthly performance evaluations to ensure progression of MRI skills.
• Other related duties as assigned.
