Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking an Acute Care Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Trainee to assist in diagnosis and learning to perform MRI procedures. You will operate and adjust scanner settings to produce high-quality images for radiologists and clinicians, while ensuring safety and minimizing exposure.

As a trainee you will complete required education and certifications, participate in quality initiatives, and progress toward ARRT certification upon successful completion of the MRI program,

Qualifications

• CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• ARRT certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Willingness to learn and perform emergency/trauma MRI procedures.
• Knowledge of MRI safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform MRI exams for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments.
• Perform ancillary duties to maintain distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
• Complete documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Retrieve and file exam jackets, orders, and related health information.
• Participate in hospital quality indicators and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Sign work commitment prior to MRI opportunity; ARRT certification upon completion.
• Bi-monthly performance evaluations to track MRI skill progression.
• Other related duties as assigned.
