ScionHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in our acute care setting. You will administer medications, assist with treatments, and support the care team to meet the plan of care.

The role emphasizes patient safety, dignity, and timely communication with the RN, physicians, and families. A recent graduate or experienced LPN with BLS is welcome; ACLS may be required in some areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN license.
• BLS certification required.
• IV therapy and blood certifications preferred.
• ACLS may be required in certain care areas.
• Six months' experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsabilités

• Administers medications and performs treatments under RN supervision.
• Keeps RN informed of patient status and changes.
• Assists with pain management education for patients and families.
• Follows five rights of medication administration.
• Assists with rehabilitation and treatment per plan of care.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures as directed.
• Treats patients and families with respect and addresses psychosocial needs.
• Collaborates with Social Services/Discharge planning.
• Interprets patient data to address age-specific needs.
• Maintains patient safety and reduces care errors.
