Advocate Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for Acute Care on a PRN basis at the Winston Campus. The role focuses on overseeing pharmaceutical care, patient counseling, and therapeutic regimens in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, ensure medication safety, participate in emergencies, and mentor pharmacy staff and students while complying with regulations and policies.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
• Current state pharmacist license is required in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, and correct administration.
• Design, monitor, and evaluate pharmacotherapeutic regimens using biomedical literature and organizational policies.
• Review and interpret medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
• Participate in management of medical emergencies when applicable.
• Support medication safety and quality improvement activities, including event reporting.
• Perform quality assurance and improve the medication-use system as appropriate.
• Collaborate to manage formulary adherence and the medication-use process; assist with non-formulary and investigational meds.
• Comply with organizational policies and local/state/federal regulations.
• Prepare, dispense, and store medications safely per best practices and regulations.
• Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students, residents, and learners; mentor teammates as assigned.
• Direct and check work of pharmacy staff to ensure safe workflows and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide age-appropriate care following department standards.
