Advocate Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist, Acute Care, at the Winston Campus on a PRN, part-time basis. The role focuses on leading pharmacotherapy, patient education, and medication safety in acute care settings.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, counseling patients, collaborating with the healthcare team, and mentoring pharmacy staff. NC licensure and immunization credentials are required, with emphasis on evidence-based care and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• Current North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing or eligible.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification as required.
• Credentialing and privileging based on area of practice.

Mansioni

• Oversee pharmaceutical care and design therapy regimens based on literature.
• Provide counseling to patients and caregivers on medication therapy and safety.
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens.
• Review medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy.
• Participate in medical emergency management when applicable.
• Support medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate to manage formulary adherence and medication-use processes.
• Distribute and handle medications per regulations and policies.
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor pharmacy staff and learners.
• Ensure age-appropriate care and apply department standards.
