Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC is seeking a Management Engineer focused on Acute Care Analytics and Improvement to drive advanced analytics, data engineering, and performance improvement across community hospitals.

You will lead validation of KPIs, design dashboards, translate data into actionable insights, manage cross-functional projects with physicians, nursing and operations, and apply Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to sustain change.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience; Master's counts as two years.
Experience with data engineering or SQL and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Lead development, validation, and maintenance of standardized analytics supporting KPIs.
Design and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor performance trends and outcomes.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clinical and operational leaders.
Provide technical project management support for operational and strategic initiatives.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among physicians, nursing, operations, analytics, and leadership.
