UPMC Carlisle is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Technician for the Acute Cardiac & Neuro Unit. The role involves assisting with ADLs, documenting care, and supporting RNs. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and enrollment in a health-science training program or completion of related coursework.

Expect rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday requirements. Starting pay varies by experience; hospital offers growth and a structured orientation with strong patient-care focus.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in PT/OT/PA/RN program or related healthcare training program with completion of at least one clinical rotation.
• Completion of UPMC patient care technician class or basic information system training is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with patient care including ADLs (bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning).
• Documents in the medical record and reports changes in patient status to RN.
• Responds to call lights and supports safety policies and department operations.

Educación

High School Diploma or equivalent

Enrollment in PT/OT/PA/RN program or related healthcare training

Basic information system training

Effective written and spoken communication

EMT or Paramedic program enrollment preferred
