Job summary

Roamly, a leading insurtech platform, is seeking an Actuary to drive pricing, reserves, and portfolio performance across P&C lines. You will build rating structures, analyze loss costs, and deliver insights to underwriting, claims, and executive leadership.

In this high-visibility role, you will develop new programs, automate analyses with modern tooling, and contribute to carrier partnerships. Preference for Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA, with remote option for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• ACAS/FCAS or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of P&C actuarial experience in auto, specialty, or program business.
• Strong technical basis in ratemaking, reserving, and trend analysis.
• Advanced Excel; working knowledge of SQL and Python or R.
• Experience building BI dashboards (Tableau/Looker/Power BI).
• Ability to explain analyses clearly to non-actuaries.

Responsibilities

• New program development: pricing structures and initial rating models.
• Program performance reporting: loss ratio, trend, and dashboards.
• Carrier & reinsurance support: submissions and bordereaux.
• Pricing & rate analysis across the program portfolio.
• Underwriting collaboration: referrals and appetite decisions.
