Job summary

Protective Life invites highly motivated students to join its Actuarial Summer Internship Program in our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL for a 9-week period from May 31 to July 30, 2027. The program includes mentoring, hands-on actuarial projects, and leadership networking opportunities.

Qualified undergraduates (juniors/seniors) or graduate students with actuarial coursework are encouraged to apply. Housing sponsorship is available as needed, and interns will gain real-world business

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with SQL, VBA, C++, or similar coding languages is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Interns will be assigned to projects that align with Actuarial team goals.
• Interns will attend workshops and training sessions focused on enhancing professional skills.
• Interns will network with Leadership and Fellow Interns.
• Mentors will provide guidance and feedback throughout the internship.
