Job summary

Protective Life offers a summer internship in Birmingham, AL, from May 31 to July 30, 2027 for undergrad (juniors/seniors) or graduate students actively enrolled as of May 31, 2027. Selected interns will work on projects aligned with the Actuarial team, receive professional development training, and network with leadership.

Housing assistance is available as needed, and mentors will guide interns through regular one-on-one meetings to support growth and career aspirations.

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate (Juniors and Seniors preferred) or Graduate students actively enrolled as of May 31, 2027.
• Majors: Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, etc.
• Coursework: Upper-Level Mathematics, Finance, and/or Actuarial Science preferred.
• Exams: Completion of at least one actuarial exam is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interns will be assigned to projects that align with our Actuarial team's goals and provide hands-on experience.
• Professional Development Training: Workshops and training sessions to enhance professional skills.
• Networking with Leadership and Fellow Interns: Interactions with company leaders and cross-department collaboration.
• Mentoring: Regular one-on-one meetings with mentors to discuss progress and career aspirations.
