American International Group (AIG) invites you to join our Actuarial Summer Intern program for a hands-on learning experience in a fast-moving, global insurance company. You will work on data analysis, pricing, and reserving alongside experienced actuaries and cross-functional teams.

During the 9-week program, you will engage in on-the-job projects, instructor-led masterclasses, and mentoring, with opportunities to learn core technical skills and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics preferred.
• Available for Summer Internship June 7–Aug 6, 2027; in-person four days per week.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Interest in pursuing actuarial credentials; progress toward exams is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Excel; Python/R/SQL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and apply actuarial techniques to quantify risk and price products.
• Support loss reserving analyses, models, forecasts, and reports.
• Collaborate with finance, claims, operations, and risk management teams.
• Monitor trends and communicate findings to stakeholders clearly.
• Develop technical/business skills through the Actuarial Development Program and exams.
