Job summary

CareSource is seeking a Senior Director, Actuarial Science to set the strategic direction, drive innovation and deliver key insights that move company performance.

You will oversee pricing, forecasting, models and rate filings, mentor actuaries, ensure ASOP compliance, and partner with Finance, Compliance and Government Affairs to influence policy. This role requires a strong actuarial background and leadership presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics or related field.
• Ten (10) years of decision support, financial analysis, or actuarial experience preferred.
• Five (5) years of management experience preferred.
• Strong database experience (SAS or Access) preferred.
• Managed Care or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pricing, forecasting, month-end close activities and performance monitoring.
• Lead a team of actuaries ensuring compliance with ASOP and staff development.
• Develop internal models to support pricing, projections and contract modeling.
• Ensure stakeholders are accountable for actuarial requests across Finance and the organization.
• Engage with regulators and external stakeholders on policy and regulatory matters.
• Lead new business projects for the business development team at the Senior Management level.
• Oversee rate filings and analytical integrity.
