Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years or more of management experience.
• Two to three years or more of actuarial experience.
• Strong database experience with SQL/SAS/Access.
• Managed care or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of actuaries ensuring compliance with actuarial standards and promoting training and development.
• Oversee pricing, forecasting, reserving, and development of key assumptions; evaluate financial experience and trend drivers.
• Develop and communicate actionable strategic recommendations to leadership aligned with company goals.
• Manage actuarial models supporting business goals including rate filings, budgeting, forecasting, and contracting models.
• Own actuarial processes (rate filings, pricing, forecasting, reserving) with internal teams and external vendors.
