Job summary

You will lead a team of actuaries, ensure compliance with actuarial standards, mentor staff, interact with regulators, and partner with finance, operations and business development on rate filings and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics or related field.
• Ten years of decision support, financial analysis, or actuarial experience preferred.
• Five years of management experience preferred.
• Strong database (SAS or Access) experience preferred.
• Managed Care or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pricing, forecasting, month-end close activities and performance monitoring and explanations.
• Develop activities to improve efficiency and affordability.
• Lead a team of actuaries ensuring compliance with Actuarial Standards of Practice.
• Develop and guide multiple internal statistical models to support business goals.
• Ensure stakeholders are held accountable for actuarial function requests.
• Interact with regulators and external stakeholders; support policy input.
• Lead new business projects for the business development team.
• Oversee rate filing requirements as necessary.
• Mentor analysts and oversee mentorship programs.
