Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with strong emphasis in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics.
• Experience in actuarial pricing, rate development, and staff management is expected.
• MAAA membership and professional actuarial credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an actuarial staff and projects; hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee rate filings preparation for large group, small group, direct pay, or senior products.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, Product Management and Development on rating strategies.
• Provide advanced support for the claim reserve process.
• Assist pricing development for new products to ensure financial viability.
• Analyze factors impacting premium trends and adjust pricing accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
